NASA: Jets interfere with weather patterns and contribute to global warming.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL—There they go again...and yet another blow to Washington’s worrisome aviation bills to massively increase aircraft traffic, probably double, within the next 10-12 years.

NBC News aired a segment on July 27, 1998, called “JetStream”. NBC News correspondent Robert Hager interviewed NASA scientists who believe that commercial jet airliners emit vapor contrails (jet streams) which cause massive clouds to form under moist conditions. Those are the vapor trails from aircraft we have all seen. The clouds shown on radar where from 60 to 800 miles long, just after a few hours and a few jets! One can only imagine what the thousands of aircraft a day do.

It seems that it is sulfur in the aviation fuel that forms the clouds. The number of cloudy days has increased over the last thirty years and NASA suspects that much of it is because of increasing air traffic.

They believe that the “contrail clouds” can interfere with weather patterns and contribute to global warming.

The question real is: What serious damage will the predicted massive increases in aviation within the next 10-12 years do to our climate?
